Set up and operate safely
- Place the engine on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from paper and fabric.
- Follow the supplied instructions for the alcohol burner. Use only the fuel specified by the maker; never substitute gasoline, kerosene or lighter fluid.
- Warm the glass hot end, then gently start the flywheel as directed. Keep hands, hair and loose clothing clear of the mechanism and flame.
- Extinguish the burner and let the glass and metal cool completely before moving or servicing the model.
This is a supervised demonstration for ages 14 and over, not an unattended toy. The maker quotes a possible operating speed of 1,300–1,500 rpm, but actual speed depends on temperature difference, setup and condition; it is not a guaranteed output specification. No electrical load or generator is included.
